The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, said the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna ill-fated train devastated lives and caused untold sufferings to the victims.

He expressed joy over the news of the release of the remaining 23 hostages of the ill-fated AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna train attacked by terrorists.

Gbajabiamila, who described it as comforting news, said he appreciated the efforts of the Federal Government and the men of the Nigerian military “for not relenting in their pursuit to secure Nigeria and Nigerians.”

This is according to a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, titled ‘Gbajabiamila Rejoices at News of Release of Abuja-Kaduna Train Hostages…Commends FG, Military.’

The Speaker also urged Nigerians to be relentless in their pursuit of peace in all their daily undertakings.
