A’Ibom APC Ex-Fed Lawmakers Endorse Former and serving National Assembly Members from Akwa Ibom State belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC) have hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for his massive achievements in Akwa Ibom state.

The ex legislators said they were impressed with President Buhari’s unprecedented programmes in different sectors in the last two years in the state, and pledged their unflinching loyalty to the President to complete his two terms in office.

Arising from a meeting in Uyo, they also commended Buhari for appointing several indigenes into key appointments in the federal government. 

Led by Senator Etang Umoyo, they lauded the President on his return to the country from his medical vacation abroad and expressed delight that he was fully energized to continue his work of transforming the country.

They listed the Akwa Ibom indigenes appointed into positions of authority including two of their colleagues, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, the Minister for Budget and National Planning and Senator Ita Enang, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly (Senate) Matters, as well as Mr. Nsima Ekere, the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Umana Umana, the Managing Director of Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority, Engr. Ben Ukpong, the Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in the National Population Commission (NPC), Mr. Samuel Frank, the Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in the NDDC, Chief Ita Awak, the Director of Air Worthiness Standards at Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Major General Godwin Umo (rtd), Nigeria’s Ambassador to Italy, Ambassador Inyang Udo Inyang, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, and Group Captain Sam Ewang (rtd), Member of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

The legislators commended the NDDC boss, Mr. Ekere, for engaging in massive development of the state in the last 10 months, and added that they were satisfied with the quality of the projects.

“The impact of NDDC in Akwa Ibom State is being felt as never before in Akwa Ibom State,” they stated in their resolution.

They pledged their support to Mr Ekere and expressed hope that he will aspire higher so he can do more. 

Among those present at the meeting were Senator Aloysius Etok, Hon. (Obongemem) Ekperikpe Ekpo, Hon. (Dr.) Akpan Micah Umoh, Hon. Patty Etete Ineme, Hon. (Barr.) Saviour Udoh, Hon. (High Chief) Ubong Etiebet, Hon. (Chief) Soni Udom, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Iquo Inyang, Hon. (Dr.) Prince David Nyong, Rt. Hon. (Otuekong) Bernard Udoh, Hon. (Dr.) Emaeyak Ukpong and Hon. Nkereuwem Okon Dan.
