4 police officers, 20 others slaughtered in Katsina by bandits

Terror bandits have butchered 26 people including four police operatives in Gidan Bofa and Dan Nakwabo in Kankara local government area of Katsina State.

The criminal elements reportedly struck with impunity, targeting innocent residents without mercy.

Gidan Boka village bore the brunt of the attack, with 15 lives lost.

Tragically, the violence didn’t end there, as five more individuals fell victim to the brutality in the Dan Nakwabo community.

Also, the criminal elements targeted law enforcement officers, killing four operatives, three inspectors and one corporal.

Additionally, two members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC) were also fatally wounded.

The events unfolded swiftly, with the police responding immediately to the distress call. As they raced to the scene, the officers encountered further danger, falling into an ambush set by bandits.

Despite the perilous situation, the law enforcement team gallantly engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight, ultimately restoring order to the area.

The aftermath of the attack revealed a grim reality: lives shattered, families torn apart, and communities left reeling from unimaginable loss.

Meanwhile, as the investigation into the senseless act of violence continues, the Katsina State Police Command assured the public that every effort will be made to bring the perpetrators to justice.
