3 Abia varsity medical students die in fatal auto crash
Two 500 level and one 400 level medical students of the Abia State University (ABSU) on Thursday, were involved in a ghastly motor accident while returning to Aba from the school’s induction of medical students.
Mr Fredrick Ogiden, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Commander confirmed the incident.
He said his men were at the accident scene shortly after the incident involving an ash-coloured private Toyota Camry.
The unfortunate incident occured at the Okigwe axis of the Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway.
The driver of the vehicle was said to be on high speed when the accident occured.
Also, two other persons travelling with them sustained injuries. They were immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Umuahia, where they were treated and discharged.
