2023: Understanding the Prepared Spirits of the Passionate Servants.

The duo of H.E Mr. Peter Obi and Sen. Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party, LP presidential and vice presidential candidates respectively, are men of competent characteristics with good knowledge of economic policies and how best to implement solutions for the general well-being of the nation and its citizens.

Both men understand perfectly well that high inflation as we witness today has adverse effects on every Nigerian. As a result, they are armed with feasible plans that will put an end to these devastating challenges.

To prove this assertion, the former two-term governor of Anambra State has been meeting Nigerians in the Diaspora with the theme: “Good Governance: The Role of Nigerians in Diaspora”.

He used the opportunity of such meetings to enlighten them on what practical solutions his government, as the President of Nigeria come 2023, will bring to the implementation table toward solving major problems bedeviling our national economy and the citizens.

During his town hall meeting titled: “Economics and Government Policy: A Conversation with Peter Obi”, organized by the Africa Business Club and Black Law Students Association in Columbia University, USA to mark the end of his Eight-day-Eight-city tour yesterday, the LP presidential candidate said, “Nigeria’s arable land is her new oil and gold. We will put our land to work for us. We will grow excess grains and use that for clean energy.

As a nation, we must look beyond oil. Whatever oil we have will be refined domestically. We will look to solar and other clean energy, especially gas. We have over 84 million hectares of arable land. Barely 40% of this arable land is cultivated today.

Economics is driven by the laws of efficiency. We must return to the path of production that results in wealth creation and eventually results in massive employment and poverty alleviation.”

In the same vein, his Kaduna-born running mate who is himself an Economist has affirmed in strong terms that their government, when elected into office, shall implement these policies with ease.

It is the belief of the amiable Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed that what is important at this stage of our national life is acting the talk through implementation. And to make this happen, they will need our authority as Nigerian citizens via electoral ballot in the next year’s elections.

Without them being elected into Aso Rock, these laudable policies of theirs would remain a pipedream. It is therefore in our thumbs to stamp Obi-Datti as our next President and Vice President as God has willed it. Yes, it’s PO-ssible for them to turnaround our dear country and Datti’s the truth!
