2023 should be last time Igbos will interfere in Lagos politics, Tinubu’s spokesman, Onanuga warns
Media Director of Mr Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, has said 2023 should be the last time Igbos would interfere with politics in Lagos State.
The flippant spokesman of Tinubu whose controversial declaration as president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission has generated condemnations by all and Sundry, warned that Igbos should not interfere in Lagos State politics in 2027.
He noted that Lagos State is like Anambra, Imo, and other states in Nigeria.
In a tweet, Onanuga stressed that Lagos is not a no man’s land as claimed by Igbos before the governorship election.
“Let 2023 be the last time of Igbo interference in Lagos politics. Let there be no repeat in 2027. Lagos is like Anambra, Imo, any Nigerian state. It is not No Man’s Land, not Federal Capital Territory. It is Yoruba land. Mind your business,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, some of the Yoruba stakeholders are yet to prove how the Igbos interfered in the Lagos elections as there are no Igbo candidate running for any elective office in the State.
