10th NASS: Serial blackmailer like Izunaso doesn’t deserve public office, Senators-elect should beware of him — Charles Ahize

The candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 Imo West Senatorial election, Chief Charles Ahize has lambasted the Senator-elect representing Imo West Senatorial District, Osita Izunaso, describing him as “a serial blackmailer and unfit to hold any political office”.

Ahize in a statement signed and issued to pressmen on Thursday urged senators-elect of the 10th Senate not to trust Izunaso with any presiding office, alleging that Izunaso can betray anything around him including the senators for selfish purposes.

Ahize, warned the senators-elect to be wary of Izunaso citing moral incompetence and questionable character

Part of the statement reads, “It is pertinent for everyone to be careful with a serial blackmailer like Osita Izunaso. Entrusting him with any position in the 10th Senate is like empowering a python in one’s house. He is a serial blackmailer, a selfish and cunning man that was chased out of office as APC National Organizing Secretary because of greed.

“Remember this cunning character also blackmailed and betrayed then Governor of Imo state, Chief Achike Udenwa— his then boss just to be relevant. He betrayed him by refusing to return his senatorial ticket back to him- a ticket was given to him to hold on confidence. He eventually came to Abuja through a fake affidavit against Gov Hope Uzodinma. Remember how our people recalled him over his abysmal performance? This character made sure that Uzodinma and Udenwa became sworn enemies.

“He blackmailed Emeka Ihedioha and Rochas Okorocha and made sure they became enemies. He is an unstable character that shouldn’t be trusted. No one even elected him. He got the ticket through lies and blackmail. I am warning Nigerians especially the senators-elect not to support Osita Izunaso.

“He does not have an atom of integrity to hold any office. Imo West did not vote APC in our Senatorial zone. He rigged the election and stole the people’s mandate. He garnered less than 2000 votes and there is no way he won’t be sacked from the court” He said
