Ahead of the governorship and State House of Assembly elections slated for 18 of March, governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has appealed to Igbo traders in the State to vote for the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Fubara Siminayi.

Wike while addressing traders today at tools market in Port Harcourt, said that people always blame him for everything that goes wrong in the state.

The Niger Delta-born politician who has been in the eye of the storm after he was accused of rigging the presidential election in favour of APC candidate, Mr Bola Tinubu in the State, said he has no problem with the Igbo tribe including the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi.

He said, “They blamed me for changing Rivers election. I have no problems with Igbo in Rivers state. I have no problem with Obi

“No one has ever heard me speak against peter Obi. All I wanted was a southern president. Peter Obi is my hero in this election

“I provided logistics for Peter Obi when he came to campaign in Rivers State”, he added.

Meanwhile, supporters of Mr Peter Obi who were angered with the outcome of the presidential poll in Rivers State have vowed to pay back the flippant governor for his treacherous action come 18 of March.

Wike is campaigning for his anointed candidate, Fubara Siminayi who has been on the wanted list of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for N435 billion fraud to takeover the leadership baton from him.
