A Ghanaian politician, Mr Mike Qquaye Jnr, is trending after he was filmed assisting a female potential voter to do her washing during a campaign tour in his constituency.
The politician, who is vying for a seat in Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, was doing door-to-door mobilization in his constituency when his entourage came across a woman doing laundry in front of her house.

The politician walked up to the woman and decided to help her with her washing as he chatted up the woman, attracting a loud cheer from his aides and other members of his entourage.

In the video, Mr Mike took a small piece of black cloth that looked like a pair of undies and diligently washed it, holding it up a couple of times to be sure it was clean.
Meanwhile, the video has sparked conversations around politicians’ deceit and their penchant for doing anything to fool the electorates before an election only to abandon them as soon as they get elected.
