VIDEO: Liberia’s President George Weah displayed high level of sportsmanship – Ejime
An African affairs expert, Mr. Paul Ejime, has applauded the major player in the just-concluded Liberian presidential election, President George Weah, which saw him lose and concede defeat to the major contender, Mr. Joseph Boakai.
Mr. Ejime made the remarks while speaking during an interview on Arise Television.
He said, amongst other things, that Liberia’s President Weah was magnanimous in defeat, congratulating his opponent, Mr. Boakai who won the presidential election in Liberia with more than 25,000 votes.
According to Ejime, Boakai’s action contradicts the proverbial sentiment that African Leaders are anxious to win and do not accept defeat, putting not just Liberia but the continent in good light.
