The attached video shows how the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa Ari, declared Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru winner of the Adamawa State governorship election even when collation is not yet complete.
According to reports, the REC, Barrister Hudu, instead of the Returning Officer, just walked into the hall with the Commissioner of Police and announced Binani as the winner.

It was alleged that he was paid two billion Naira to pull off the heist.
Reacting, INEC nullified the declaration null and void.

The commission stated in a tweet that the REC’s announcement was invalid because he does not possess the powers to declare a winner and the process had also not been concluded.
INEC also suspended the collation of results of the supplementary election and directed the REC, Returning Officer, and all other parties involved to report to the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja immediately.
