Victor Umeh Asks Tribunal To Nullify Anambra Central Election

Senator Victor Umeh has asked the Tribunal to nullify the Anambra central senatorial election conducted on February 23, 2019.

Umeh, who was defeated by Iyom Uche Ekwunife, in one of his prayers to the tribunal said Ekwunife does not belong to the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and was not sponsored by any political party.

He went further to alleged that there were over voting in some polling units during the election.

He also claimed that based on cancellation of election in some polling units in Anambra central senatorial district, the election ought to have been declared inconclusive.

Umeh, therefore, pleaded with the tribunal to nullify the election on the ground that the cancellation of the affected polling units have affected the entire result that produced Ekwunife.
