UPDATE: Buhari approves Usman Baba as new IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Deputy Inspector-General (DIG), Usman Alkali Baba as the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
The Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, announced the appointment on Tuesday in Abuja.
Dingyadi disclosed the new appointment to State House Correspondents at the Presidential villa, saying it is with immediate effect.
Usman Baba will replace the outgoing Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu.
