Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani Kayode has called on the United Nations to address what he termed “state-sponsored mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide” going on in Nigeria.

Chief Fani Kayode made the demand in a short memo he signed by himself and personally delivered to ElombahNews on Friday.

Writing, he said:

“Now that the United Nations have finally admitted that [President Muhammadu] Buhari and his government are “encouraging murderers” perhaps they would find the courage and decency to call what is going on in Nigeria precisely what it is: state-sponsored mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide!”

Speaking further, he argued that “when 11 villages are burnt to the ground and 200 people are slaughtered in one night it is called “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing” and not just “murder”.

He, therefore, stated categorically that President “Buhari and his government are mass murderers, ethnic cleansers and genocidal maniacs who have cowered our people into subjugation and submission by establishing an atmosphere of fear, intimidation and terror”.

In another memo he sent to this medium, following the massacre of unsuspecting residents that saw the death of about 200 persons in Plateau State, he lamented:

“It is a shame that in some parts of Nigeria, when people die, they kill cows whilst in other parts of Nigeria, when cows die, they kill people.

“The answer to Nigeria’s problems is to build a massive Donald Trump-like wall across the border between the far north and the rest of the country and keep Boko Haram and the Fulani terrorists and herdsmen out!

“And they must pay for its construction with their money!”

Fani Kayode has been an steadfast critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, accusing it of high-handedness, nepotism, corruption and wanton violence.

He has addressed several fora and summits, including video interviews, lambasting the Buhari-led federal government of ineptitude and cluelessness.

He has asked the President not to contest the forthcoming 2019 presidential election as he has no achievements whatsoever to showcase.
