Ugwumba Uche Nwosu Supports Agricultural Start-Ups

Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has made real his promise of investing in agriculture in his double pronged vision of empowering thousands of youths economically and contributing his quota to the attainment of food security in Africa. As the Chief financier of a debate competition for undergraduates drawn from across tertiary institutions in the State, the youthful Chief aide to the Governor of Imo State doled out funds to some undergraduates who spoke convincingly about their ideas on how agriculture can contribute efficiently to the virility of our economy. He encouraged the beneficiaries of the fund to invest same wisely in agricultural businesses, assuring them that the business is both profitable and convenient. 

In a related development, the real estate mogul turned politician also doled out intervention funds to some young men and women who are already into farming but  needed a kind of financial stimuli to grow their farms. The multiple award winner and role model to millions of youths across Africa who is also a farmer himself, encouraged the beneficiaries to dedicate more effort to their farms, as farming holds the potential to make them billionaires in the nearest future. 

This segment of youth empowerment is in line with Ugwumba Uche Nwosu’s avowal to empower at least 1000 youths before the end of 2017. However, available records show that more than 5,000 youths have already benefited directly or indirectly from the empowerment drive.
