The United States has recorded a mind-boggling 141 mass shootings, with 11,037 gun deaths in the first quarter of 2023 alone.

The data was contained in a press release from Gun violence archive 2023 entitled “Statistics of U.S. Gun Violence” covering 1st January to 6th April, 2023.

According to the report, along with the documented 141 mass shootings and 11,037 gun deaths, there were 8,085 gun injuries, 213 children shot with 65 fatalities, and 1,310 teenagers were shot with 385 dead.

Also, 276 incidences involved defensive gun use, while 390 were cases of unintentional shootings.

Furthermore, an estimate 6,138 suicides were recorded.
