For someone seeking to be employed by nearly 220 million Nigerians as a driver of our national progression to be exhibiting extreme level of arrogance in his conducts and disposition is the biggest insult on the sensibility of the people he is seeking to serve.

And worsening matters, the man he hired to be his running mate is not only naturally pugnacious but also carries excessive air of arrogance in him. What happens when this pair is employed to manage our dear country that has been on the retrogressive path? Certainly, Nigerians will humble them at the polls for the Universe rejects the proud and gives grace only to the humble.

The presidential candidate of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is glaringly being tormented in an excruciating way – mentally, physically and emotionally – has the temerity to talk down on one of his major contenders in the race to be elected the next president of Nigeria.

Hear him: “The other one think na statistics we go chop. He lies with arithmetic that no Indian can solve. To mention his name is a disgrace to me. I won’t mention the name. Wrong arithmetic, wrong statistics, warehouse economy — that is not what Nigeria needs.”

It is so interesting how the former governor of Lagos State, who is already being regarded by a good number of Nigerians as a disgrace to the people he seeks to lead, is saying that the Labour Party presidential candidate whose record as governor of Anambra State surpassed him in all indices of the Human Development Index, HDI, is a disgrace.

Of course, it is not usual that the name of a very decent man like HE Peter Obi can be a disgrace to Tinubu who has been shying away from telling the whole country what his real age is, whom his real parents are, and who are his school mates.
