Super Falcons thrash Ethiopia in Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers
Super Falcons of Nigeria thrashed their Ethiopian counterparts 4-0 during the Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers match played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.
With the defeat, Nigeria is through to the next round of the Olympic qualifiers and will meet the second-round winners between Cameroon and Uganda.
Uchenna Kanu opened the scoreline for the Falcons in the 45th minute to signal the end of the First Half.
Asisat Oshoala dribbles in from the right to set up Rasheedat Ajibade for the second goal of the match five minutes into the Second Half.
Oshoala got herself on the scoresheet off Uchenna Kanu’s brilliant cross to make it three in the 68th minute.
The Barcelona striker once again raced in from the right to set up Rasheedat Ajibade for her second and the fourth of the match.
Michelle Alozie missed a chance to increase the lead tally inside the Ethiopian area off Uchenna Kanu’s cross five minutes to the end of the match.
It was 4-0 at the end of match in Abuja.
