A Civil Society organization [CSO], International Society For Civil Liberties And Rule Of Law [Intersociety] has, in this special report, exposed the various human rights violations by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government.

The expose was organized by Intersociety on Sunday, March 12, 2017, in Anambra State, South East of Nigeria and reported by Elombah.com crew who were live at the event.

In the report, Intersociety chairman, Mr. Emeka Umeagbalasi elaborated on the well-documented evidences of atrocities by the current regime.

Mr. Umeagbalasi cited the killings of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] led by the incarcerated Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the report, some victims were taken alive with their hands tied behind their backs to the slaughter house and gruesomely murdered.

Some members of the victims were IPOB members who were merely jubilating over the unconditional release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu  by the Federal High Court in FCT, Abuja.

According to the Intersociety boss, the killer soldiers deposited the killed bodies of the vicitms at the mortuary of the Onitsha General Hospital.

In total, Intersociety reported that about 240 persons were killed in 2016 alone, including 29 children aged between zero and 10.

It also stated that the murdered victims were killed under the guise of unlawful assembly by security operatives involving soldiers, police, and DSS operatives.

Intersociety also lamented the brutal murder of hundreds of refugees in the Internally Displaced Persons [IDPs] camp by the Nigerian Air Force when three bombs were fired in the camp.

Speaking during the event, a writer and poet, Mr. Chidi Anthony Opara regretted that apart from the Intersociety, other human rights organisations have failed in the duties.

He said they have practically gone to sleep and absolved their duties which have emboldened the perpetrators of the crimes.
