The Second Term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari received a fillip yesterday as the SouthEast For Buhari  inaugurated its Anambra State Chapter.

The group which was formed to advocate for the reelection of President Buhari in the five Southeast states, saw its Anambra Chapter getting off on a sound note with the swearing in of its state exco members.

The occasion which was attended by major shakers of Anambra politics was indeed a signpost to the  numerous opposition parties that perhaps President Buhari’s second term from the look of things is already a done deal.

Led by a former House Representatives Member, Hon.Nze Chidi Duru who stands as the coordinator of the Anambra State Chapter, other big names like Ossy Ezenwa,  Sir Emma Nweke, Azuka Okwuosa, Basil Ejidike,Ike Ibe, Dennis Ngene, Theo Nnorom, Olisa Onyeka and and other  notable stakeholders also graced the occasion.

Addressing the crowd, Hon Chidi Duru described the formation of the group as timely, noting that with the superfluous performance of the President and the APC, there was no reason for anyone to doubt nor deny President Buhari a well-deserved second term.

He urged the members of the committee to see themselves as advocates of good governance and champions of a better society not only for themselves but also for posterity.

Nze Duru described SEB as a forum to produce aspirants for a number of elecrions, noting that SEB would promote and support quality aspirants for all elective positions to be contested come 2019, from the State House of Assembly elections to federal legislative elections, noting that victory was certain.

However, he admonished members of the group not to work against the structures of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Anambra State as the group would merge with the party at all structures with the hope of coordinating a grassroots oriented campaign that would focus on the positives of returning President Buhari.

Other speakers such as Sir Azuka Okwuosa, Chief Basil Ejidike, Chief Ike Ibe and Olisa Onyeka commended the turnout and peaceful conduct of the day’s event and  each in turn passed a vote of confidence on Nze Chidi Duru as the Coordinator.

Another major point of the event was the presentation of three brand new vehicles to the youth leader, woman leader and coordinator of the state chapter.
