Soludo condoles with late Ezechukwu family, extols his contributions to growth of journalism in Nigeria

The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, leading aspirant for the November 6, Anambra gubernatorial election and former Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Professor Chukwuma Soludo has commiserated with the family of Chief Uche Ezechukwu, a renowned veteran journalist who passed on few months ago
Soludo who visited the family of the veteran journalist at Amesi, consoled with the wife, Mrs Ezechukwu and the children of the deceased on the sad passage of the veteran journalist
Soludo described the late Chief Uche Ezechukwu as a committed and dedicated journalist who upheld the ethics of the Journalism profession by being fair and just to all in his writings and publications
The former CBN further added that Uche Ezechukwu was not just a respected journalist but also a celebrated author.
As an established author with four books to his credit, Soludo said the late Uche Ezechukwu used his writings to mirror the ills in the society and also suggested ways on how to make the society better for the downtrodden
Soludo also described the deceased as a fearless journalist and an engaging columnist who will be solely missed by the Nigerian media community, friends and admirers for his honesty, commitment and professionalism
Soludo therefore prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss
The late Chief Uche Ezechukwu was laid to rest at his home town Amesi, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra state after a Requim Mass held in his honour at St. Vincent’s Church, Amesi, presided over by the Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Reverend Peter Okpalaeke
