SHOCKING DISCOVERY: Tinubu never graduated from Chicago State University
New findings by former presidential aide to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Publisher of Point Blank News, Jackson Ude, have revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu never graduated from Chicago State University (CSU) which explains why he was never issued a certificate and ended up forging one for himself
It could be noted that Tinubu’s academic record has been a matter of heated controversy ever since the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, launched a fact-finding mission on Tinubu in the United States institution.
Consequently, a United States District Court Judge, Hon. Nancy L. Maldonado, upheld the decision of Magistrate Frederick Gilbert of the Illinois Magistrate Court and ordered that Tinubu’s academic record be released by CSU to Alhaji Abubakar.
The findings in the released records led to some weighty conclusions that may see Tinubu disqualified as a candidate of the 2023 presidential race.
Upon further probe of the records, among the latest discoveries, contrary to Tinubu’s claims, Mr. Ude discovered that he never passed the English Qualifying Examination at the Chicago State University.
According to documents made available by Ude, Tinubu was required to take English 222 which, incidentally, he never did.
“As at the time of graduation, he still needed to complete 15 hours credit load of course which is the English and mathematics from the “Qualifying Examination”. He never did.
“To graduate from any U.S University, you need 120 credit hours. Tinubu had only met 105 and could not have been issued a certificate.
“This is the reason no certificate was issued to him, he instead went ahead and forged one, using an accomplice from that school,” it was discovered.
The school stated categorically: “You have not passed the English Qualifying Exam and the credits that you have previously saved in composition will not be recorded on your transcript until you have passed the examination. You should enroll in English 222.” (Italics ours for emphasis.)

Furthermore, the school indicated Tinubu failed below the minimum requirement for “CREDIT HOURS REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION“.
In the “EVALUATION OF CREDITS BUSINESS AND ADMINISTRATION REGULAR OPTION” issued to Tinubu, CSU stated as follows:
- MINIMUM CREDIT HOURS REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION —– 120
- TOTAL SYMESTER HOURS ACCEPTED ——————————- 105
- TOTAL SYMESTER HOURS TO BE COMPLETED ———————-15

In the meantime, Atiku Abubakar has listed five forgeries in Tinubu’s academic record released by CSU.
The discrepancies were established in the president’s credentials by Kalu Kalu Esq., one of the lawyers to Abubakar.
Speaking during the press briefing held by Atiku on Thursdays in Abuja, Kalu said the legal team discovered five major discrepancies in the academic records of President Bola Tinubu during the deposition of the Registrar of Chicago State University (CSU), Caleb Westberg.
The lawyer said the Atiku’s team was able to establish that Tinubu committed forgery, has dual citizenship, and presented an NYSC certificate that has a different name from the one he submitted to INEC.
He said:
- “One, on the certificate issued or released by Chicago State University to the lawyers of Abubakar— Tinubu forged the certificate he presented to INEC.
- “Two, that the qualifying certificate from Southwest College to Chicago State University bears a female, therefore, the document does not belong to Tinubu.
- “The Chicago State University admission form has a claim that Tinubu attended Government College, Lagos, and graduated in 1970, when indeed that school was established in 1974.
- “The same document has it that the owner of that document is a black American, and (in) the document Tinubu submitted to INEC, he denied having dual citizenship, which means it does not belong to him.
- “Then, the same document, under deposition, says the “A” in Bola A. Tinubu is Ahmed, but the NYSC certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC says the “A” is Adekunle,” he said.
On his part, the PDP presidential candidate said the legal battle in the United States has revealed sufficient discoveries to upturn the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal at the Supreme Court.
Atiku had requested the documents from CSU to back his allegation of certificate forgery against Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February poll.
The allegation of forgery was one of those dismissed by the Presidential Election Petition Court in the suit Atiku filed to challenge the election of Tinubu who was sworn in as president in May. Read more.
