Senator Ubah kicks off operation light-up & secure Anambra South project

Reassures residents of his commitment towards community development

The Senator stormed Diocesan Church Center (DCC), Nnewi with additional solar powered facilities to kick off the project execution in the town, he also handed over various gift items like Electric Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, standing fans and electric kettles to outstanding members of YPP and IUF.

The Diocesan Church Centre (DCC) field, Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State was agog on Monday as the community indigenes trooped out en masse to welcome their own, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and to also witness the kick-off of implementation of “Operation Light-Up and Secure Anambra South Project”.

Senator Ubah who represents Anambra South Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly stormed the arena with the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation (IUF) Chief Vin Onyeka, some party leaders, supporters and stakeholders to kick off implementation of the project which is the first of its kind in the Senatorial History of Anambra South.

Addressing the gathering which was made up of Nnewi residents, Ward leaders of Young Progressives Party (YPP) and Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation (IUF), as well as some members of the aforementioned groups, Senator Ubah appreciated ndị Nnewi for always defying all odds to sustain their unalloyed supports for him.

He further appreciated them for showing huge support for his party, YPP, and reassured them that their sacrifices shall never be in vain as he will always partner with relevant authorities to champion the development of various communities.

Speaking on the day’s agenda, Senator Ubah said that security of lives and properties remains the major function of every government and in line with his principle of protecting the interests of his constituents.

He initiated “Operation Light-Up and Secure Anambra South Project” which will feature installation of solar powered facilities that are equipped with a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) light system and other powerful electronic gadgets that will help security agencies in surveillance and security analysis in all Wards of Anambra South Senatorial District.

The Anambra South Senator further disclosed that he was at the arena with his entourage to hand over additional solar powered facilities to indigenous Engineers contracted to execute the project in all Wards of the Local Government and to also kick off the execution of the project in the area.

He also revealed that each Ward will get fifty units of the facilities while additional solar lights shall also be installed along Nnewi Round About-Traffic Light, Nnewi Round About-Roban Stores, Nnewi Round About-Amuko market, First Bank (Round About Branch)-Eke Amobi, Nnewi Bank Road-Cathedral Church of St Mary, Enem Hall-Awka Etiti, Akwu Egbo-Anglican Girls Secondary School and 100 foot Road, Nnewi.

Senator Ubah also commended leaders and members of his party and IUF for their diligence and urged them to continually put in efforts in spreading the Ifeanyi Ubah gospel in their various wards.

On the forthcoming election, Senator Ubah urged ndị Nnewi and Anambra South residents to consolidate their support for him and his party by voting massively for YPP in the 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections as that will guarantee continuous reward for their sacrifices and will also ensure sustenance of his programmes.

In his remarks, the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah  Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka commended ndị Nnewi for always showing unimaginable love for their son, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah He also appreciated the people of the ancient commercial town for believing in YPP and maintained that their sacrifices will always be reciprocated with quality representation.

Chief Onyeka who responded on behalf of leaders and members of IUF also urged ndị Nnewi and Anambra South residents to consolidate their supports for YPP by voting massively for the party in the 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

Speaking on behalf of leaders and members of Young Progressives Party YPP, the party’s Anambra State Chairman Prince Moses Obi appreciated Nnewi Community for always standing with the party and its Senatorial Candidate, Senator Ubah Prince Obi also appreciated Senator Ubah for always doing the party proud and reassured him that efforts will be tripled to ensure his re-election becomes a done deal .

Prince Obi also used the opportunity to urge all the party members and leaders to remain focused, and called on ndị Anambra South to make another history by voting for YPP in the 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

Other highlight of the event which was also attended by leaders and members of Afaigboefuna Solidarity was the  presentation of additional solar powered facilities to indigenous Engineers contracted to execute the project in Nnewi North and distribution of various gift items like Electric Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Electric Kettles, and Standing Fans to outstanding members of YPP and IUF.

It was a carnival like atmosphere as the people of Nnewi, as well as residents of the commercial town, trooped out enmass organically to welcome and identify with Senator Ubah who, according to them is God’s special gift to ndi Nnewi and the people of Anambra South in general. Read more.
