It took me three days before l made up my mind to respond to Senator Akpabio.

Why play dirty politics with our state and people? Peoples from all over the world, the high and mighty, good and bad all came to respect a great man Hebert, his wife Chizoba and their first born son Chizi, a well deserved goodnight, under heart breaking circumstances.

Governor Fubara was the host of everyone who attended the goodbye service. From the beginning of his speech to the end he spoke the minds of not only Rivers indigenous peoples but of most people who were there.

The truth of the issues today is that people in politics in Nigeria are demonstrating they believe they are small gods.

The question is does Senator Akpabio intend to use any opportunity such as naming ceremonies, birthdays, thanksgiving and distastefully in this sad occasion to bully Governor Sim Fubara in Rivers State just to stir up political crisis in favor of APC?

Is APC not in enough trouble?

Is it not clear to Akpabio that anyone who attempts to take on the people of Rivers State for the purpose of flexing political muscle gets swallowed up?

Did Akpabio come to mock and gloat at Isiokpo people of Ikwerre kingdom, and all Rivers State people?
Did he come to watch us weep over the loss of not one bright star but three bright stars of Rivers State?

If he didn’t want to respect the people of Rivers State why did Akpabio come to Rivers State on the 9th of March 2024. We will not forget.

To think that Governor SIM FUBARA was seating next to Akpabio throughout the service sends chills down my spine.

The untimely l death of Herbert, Chizoba and Chizi Wigwe was not the occasion to flex muscles as anything political or otherwise.

The Governor of Rivers State was right to draw the minds of everyone who heard his speech to remember what the word of GOD says in Ecclesiastes 1: 2-8.

Politicians driving in bullet proof cars the oil and gas of the Niger Delta people paid for should NOT forget it is all vanity, at the end of it all; “what is the Struggle to acquire political powers, oppress the people, all for?

Everyone will leave everything they have one day, no matter how they got it, and face their judgement day.

Akpabio believed he had to respond to the call for self reflection the Governor put to the people physically present or watchingo live on television, showed Akpabio may have something personal to worry about, afterall he was not the only politician at the sad occasion of the family and people of Isiokpo of Ikwerre LGA and the entire Rivers State.

Politicians must as Gov Fubara said reflect on why they threaten to kill and bury just to have political power? Why do Nigeria politicians think it is what they say or want or nothing?

If a poll is carried out today in Rivers State, you will find that majority of Rivers State people believe Akpabio hates Rivers State and Rivers State people.

His disrespect for the people of Rivers State should no longer be tolerated by Rivers State people.

Just a few weeks ago Akpabio was in OGONI LAND where he called on Minister Nyesom Wike to look for an Ogoni to take over from Governor SIM FUBARA in 2027, where did he get the notion from that Governor Fubara won’t run in 2027.

Ogoni people are equal to any other ethnicity of Rivers State, it is not Akpabio that will tell Ogoni people when to run for Governor.

The people of Rivers State are peaceful, peace loving and accommodating to all strangers and visitors as long as they come in peace, with peace and respect.

Did Akpabio forget Joi Nunieh the then Acting MD of NDDC whom he was hell bent at removing by any means even if it means kidnapping her?

When did Akpabio become a political voice in Rivers State?

This is the second time l will call on the President, and National Security Advice (NSA) to seriously caution Akpabio to face his role as Senate President, and concentrate on the politics of his own state. In his State we have Ijaw kit and kin, who remain oppressed and neglected despite the oil that flows from the Ijaw of his State.

Rivers people don’t go looking for fights in any state, if fights is brought to our beloved Rivers State we will not runaway. Rivers State people are not cowards.

Governor SIM FUBARA is our Governor, we want him to remain our Governor, he is loved in all the 23 LGAs, have a strong and powerful structure, and enjoys strong support from most of Rivers State people.

Akpabio’s actions and speeches in Rivers State is an attempt to destabilize the State, but it should not be forgotten, any attempt to destabilize Rivers State will affect not only Rivers State but the economy of Nigeria.

If Akpabio is not reigned in by APC, Mr. President and NSA, he should be held accountable for any reaction that may arise from any further disrespect towards the Governor of Rivers State and the people of Rivers State.

Akpabio was once a Governor in Akwa Ibom state, wil he have allowed a Governor of another state come to Akwa Ibom, hate and disrespect him? What arrogance for him to think it is alright to come and disrect him?

His disrespect towards Governor SIM FUBARA is unexpected and shocking from a Senate President, who is bent on stirring the political hornets nest in a plural and multicultural society like Rivers State.

He should be cautioned to refrain from stoking internal political wranglings in our beloved Rivers State.

We expect Akpabio to endeavour to retract his statements and apologize to Rivers State people just like he did to Nigerians after telling us that governors have been given 30 billion naira each to reduce hardship.

As a Senate President Akpabio owes the people of Nigeria a responsibility to help Mr. President and the NSA to use the National Assembly in finding solutions to insecurity, especially now we have terrorists demanding for money that is larger than the expenditure and budget of Nigeria.

As a high ranking member in the APC, salvaging the economy of Nigeria under his party’s government should be his primary concern and not the politics of Rivers State.

As the saying goes a word is enough for a wise person.
