Saraki Appoints Okupe Chair Of Campaign Media [Updated]
The Senate President and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has appointed Dr. Doyin Okupe as the chairman of the Media Council for his campaign Organisation.
Saraki posted on his Twitter handle confirming the appointment:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. @DoyinOkupe as the Chairman of my Presidential campaign’s Media Council. Dr. Okupe has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC).

Citing the reason for the appointment, he said:
Dr. @DoyinOkupe brings many years of strategic insight to my campaign team, having worked as the Director of Communications for the Presidential campaigns of two former presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

The appointment, however, is a test of Dr. Okupe’s resolve and integrity as it warrants that he [Okupe] would be decamping from Accord Party back to PDP.
It could be recalled that Doyin Okupe once announced that he resigned from PDP and pitched camp with Accord Party.
In another development, the people of Nasarawa welcomed Dr. Saraki as he continued his discussions with PDP party delegates ahead of the party primaries.
