Rufai Oseni exposes Reno Omokri’s lies on TV, says “you are wrong”

Mr. Rufai Oseni, one of the presenters of The Morning Show”, a political flagship programme of Arise Television, on Tuesday, exposed several lies bandied around by a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokri, during live television interview.

Omokri, who visibly came prepared to demarket the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi, met his waterloo when Mr. Oseni took the wind off his sail.

He claimed, amongst other things, that the school certificate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is more reliable than that of Peter Obi.

The former presidential aide claimed that the certificate obtained by Tinubu at the Chicago State University, wherein he reportedly “graduated” with First Class degree, has more substance than Peter Obi’s with Second Class degree.

He also alleged that the polls that project Peter Obi as leading the presidential race were done by his associates and not realistic.

According to him, the polling results favouring the Labour Party’s presidential candidate are conducted by partial pollsters.

A visibly irritated Omokri even attacked and accused Rufai of bias and manipulation which immediately got the later counter reacting.

Rebuffing Omokri, Rufai said: “Mr. Reno this is your game. I’m not part of your game. I’m just doing my job.”

He then produced substantive and irrevocable evidence that perforated Omokri’s high-flying balloon and sent him crashing aimlessly.

Rufai reminded Omokri that the Chicago State University, under a subpoena, averred that they have no record of Tinubu in their database and wondered where Omokri got his information from.

He also informed him that Tinubu’s certificate is a matter of controversy as all efforts by journalists, as well as lawyers, to establish the authenticity or otherwise of the certificate and other documents turned out negative.

A bewildered Omokri suddenly found himself stuttering and gasping for words, having lost steam from Rufai’s counter-attack.
