After Rochas, Araraume and co-travellers should keep off

ISITE NA NKUTE ANWURU BARA AHIA (IT IS TIME FOR THE ALLIED FORCES TO LEAVE IMO STATE )

It is the normal practise for heavily endangered population to seek for external support. The statutes of United Nations accommodate this. Our tradition and history have much to teach us on the need to unite against common and overbearing foes. Older societies employed mercenaries for liberation and redemption.    In dealing with home grown despots, victims are very likely to recruit, engage and employ helpers from all available fronts. These helpers, different from one another in ideology, perception and understanding of the rules of engagement, are nonetheless united for a given purpose: LIBERATION. It is a known practise that mercenaries leave at the end of the war. Peace keepers rarely take over government of their host.

Allied Forces that ensured the disarming and demobilising of the czar in the Douglas House should be disbanded. This is the right time to do so. Allied forces are not meant to liberate and take over. In conventional warfare, mercenaries and peacekeepers are expected to retire immediately the mission is accomplished. The liberated population is bestowed with the task of determining and charting her history upwards. Senator Ararume and his men have done the state proud. They did what Napoleon couldn’t do. They deserve applauses and commendations. They also need to be reminded that Imo people never expected them to occupy Imo

The Allied Forces choro isite na ikute anwuru baa ahia. This is morally and procedurally wrong. We never negotiated this. It wasnt part of the MOU they signed with Ndi Imo. We engaged their services on one note. We believed they possess enough nuisances to destroy the monster. We are fully aware that they are not radically dissimilar  from the monster, but we merely employed the old truth: set a thief to catch a thief. We were sure that turtles know where to bite each other.

We can never be deceived with the hoax and noises that ooze from Allied sides. We , the Imo people wouldn’t sell a cat and procure a monkey, albeit instantly.

The Allied forces should not take us for granted. Yes, we needed liberation, but we needed freedom. It is clear the replacement of roguery by stealing means the same thing. If you ask me, i would tell you that nothing has been achieved.

Having successfully scared away the tyrant, the Allied forces decided to partition Imo state, each taking a chunk as his reward. Orlu went to Sen HopeUzodinma and Sent Osita Izunaso;  Owerri falls under Eze Madumere while Okigwe is for Sen Ifeanyi Ararume and Uwajimogu. The unsuspecting Imo people become pawns in the game of interest. It is regrettable that the opinion and input of the people weren’t sought.

Transforming from forces of of liberation to that of occupation, without a least consultation amounts to an affront on our collective psyche. I need to be convinced that the Messiah we are waiting for is masquerading in the Allied camp. Transmitting from a helper status to a  controller of government without recourse  to proper consultations is illogical, improper and inpunitous. This backdoor exchange wouldnt drive far.

It should be noted that the success recorded was made possible, not only by the Allied forces. Attacks came across parties and interests. Every Imolite contributed to the downfall of the monster. Therefore it would be wrong for the mainstream Allied forces to appropriate the booty alone.
