Mr Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has reshuffled his cabinet amidst the political face-off in the State.

In a statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, redeployed the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the state, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office).

The Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, was moved to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.

Also, the statement directed both officials to hand over official documents related to their previous offices to their respective Permanent Secretaries, with the redeployments taking immediate effect.

He said, “They are to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries immediately as this deployment takes immediate effect. All had over processes must be completed immediately”.

Both commissioners, who are loyalists of former governor Nyesom Wike, had previously resigned from their positions last December in the heat of the political crisis in the state and the rift between Fubara and his predecessor who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

They were later reinstated as part of the peace agreement initiated by President Bola Tinubu.
