A yet to be identified randy police officer early morning Saturday died on top of his sex partner.

The partner is a member of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps [NSCDC] who was simply identified as Mrs Ifeoma Okeke, a middle rank officer.

Both lovers were reportedly married.

They were discovered Saturday morning stone dead in a building said to belong to the sibling of the late police officer, at Ezinifite village in Okpuno, a suburb of Awka, the Anambra state capital.

Mrs Okeke, a mother of five lived in Awka with her husband and children.

The police officer -a father of three, died of apparent asphyxiation due to toxic fumes from the generating set.

The police officer’s family were said to be living in faraway Lagos state while his partner lived in Awka with her family.

Family sources revealed that Mrs Okeke, with her mind set on the all-night weekend romp, reportedly told her husband she was attending a church night vigil service.

She, however, ended up in her lover’s house, which was just around the corner for a marathon sex bout.

“The woman spent the night together with her police lover but did not wake up until a labourer who was to work for the deceased man came in the morning and discovered their dead bodies.

“Upon discovering of the dead bodies, the labourer rushed out and alerted neighbours.

“[The latter] quickly followed him to confirm the incident before a relative intervened.

“[He] locked up the compound to prevent people from further going inside the apartment”, the source told surging journalists and on-lookers.

A resident of the area who gave his name simply as John told our reporter:

“There was the sound of a small generating set throughout the night in his (the policeman)apartment.

“But about 4am, I stopped hearing the sound of the generator, maybe the fuel finished.

“The victim lived on the third floor of the house.

“As a policeman, he hardly stayed around, but each time he was around, everybody would know.

“[That is] because he would run his generator all through the night.

“Everybody called him officer, but I think he was an Inspector.”

However, the new state Police Public Relations Office, ASP Nkeiru Nwode denied the identity of the alleged police officer.

She said: “With due respect, the man in question is not a member of the Nigeria Police Force and the woman’s identity is yet to be ascertained”.

She promised to come up with details once they became available.

Since early morning Saturday when the shocking report broke, the house had become a somewhat tourist centre.

Sympathisers gathered in clusters at the gate of the three storey building discussing the tragic incident.

After a long wait by residents who were waiting to see the dead bodies, security men comprising local vigilantes, the police and men of the NSCDC arrived the scene and dispersed everybody.

The security operatives later on evacuated the remains of the victims in an ambulance to an undisclosed hospital in Awka.

It was said that the late woman had already successfully negotiated and was in the process of moving her family to the building before their unfortunate demise.
