A group of protesters, under the auspices of Citizens Action Against Criminality on the 2018 Annual Budget, on Tuesday, reduced traffic in Abuja Central to a snarl en route to the National Assembly.

Carrying various placards, the protesters, amongst other things, asked the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara to resign with immediate effect.

Their demands stemmed from recent allegations by the Presidency that indicted the lawmaker of mischief in the 2018 budget.

Reacting to the protest, the deputy Senate President, Prof. Ike Ekweremadu taunted the protesters, saying:

‘It seems one way to survive in Abuja is to organise protests.’
