Police identify man who fired gunshots at Ladipo market
The spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said that the man who fired celebratory gunshots at Ladipo market on Tuesday, October 17, has been identified.
The man shot into the air to celebrate the reopening of the popular market sealed by the Lagos State government in September over environmental offences.
Adejobi had earlier vowed to ensure that the man got identified and the ‘’needful” done to him.
In an update given on his X handle this morning, Adejobi stated that the Lagos State Police Command has identified the man and will speak on it as soon as possible.
Senator Ashiru replaces Umahi as Senate deputy leader
Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru of the All Progressives Congress has replaced David Umahi as the deputy Senate leader
Ashiru who is representing Kwara South took over Umahi’s place after his appointment as the Minister of Works by President Bola Tinubu.
Also, the Senate appointed Senator Nwebonyi Onyeka as the new Deputy Chief Whip.
Mr Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President announced the new appointments at plenary.
