The abductors of Greenfield University students are said to have threatened to kill the remaining hostages in their custody, if they do not get 100 Million Naira and some pieces of specified motorcycle brand as ransom before the end of today.
The abduction and continued detention of these innocent and beautiful children of our nation adds to the embarrassment that our dear country has become over the last few years, under a Party that rode to power on the back of lies and outright 419 in the history of democracy, anywhere in the world. These undergraduates are among thousands of innocent Nigerians, mostly young people, held captive in different parts of the country and we can only pray that they do not join the casualties of an undeclared war, which some terrorists have been waging on our country in the last ten years and more.
Already, some of the hostages have been killed and their corpses found, hence, we cannot afford to imagine that these bandits are merely playing some kind of mind games by threatening to kill the rest of the students. There is almost no doubt, that they will make true their threat, if government fails to meet their demands.
How it is difficult for our security agents to track down these criminals and rescue our brothers and sisters, even when it seems that the guys are not too far from the coverage of our security agents, should baffle any right thinking person. But, this is no time to attempt any James Bond kind of operation, as our childrens lives are on the line. As embarrassing as it sounds, I do not think the government has any other options but to pay these guys whatever they are asking for. We cannot afford to gamble with the lives of these children.

A major reason why the governor of Kaduna State must not allow these guys to carry out their threats is that majority of these students are from Christian backgrounds. Should the governor look the other way and the bandits kill them, like they have threatened, it might be understood that he left the students to die because they are mostly Christians.
Please, for whatever it is worth, let us save the lives of these innocent children.
