Hoodlums have destroyed campaign billboards of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in different parts of Osogbo, Osun state capital.

This is coming after the party raised alarm that since the official takeover of senator Ademola Adeleke as the executive governor of the state, over 500 members of the party have been attacked by thugs.

Acting APC Chairman in the state, Tajudeen Lawal in a statement had said that the return of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into governance in Osun “has marked the continuation of brigandage and political siege of yesteryears”.

Lawal alleged that in the last 24 hours, a number of properties had been destroyed, including APC campaign vehicles, billboards particularly in Osogbo, the state capital.

He also called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, to urgently intervene.

Though, while reacting to Lawal’s claims, former deputy national publicity secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Diran Odeyemi, have urged the APC chairman to report the matter to security operatives for “appropriate action”.

According to Diran, “It is too early for us to begin to join issues with APC. We are too busy with governance now. If such thing happened, they should report to police so that police can take appropriate action”.
