Following alleged molestation of Governor of Ekiti State,  Ayodele Fayose by Security agencies,  Senators of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  on Thursday asked federal government to set up panel of enquiry to investigate the matter.

The Caucus who addressed the journalists after a closed door session which lasted for one hour expressed dissatisfaction with the molestation of Governor Fayose.

Speaking on behalf of the Caucus,   Senator Godswill Akpabio added that anybody found culpable of the molestation should be punished.

According to him,  molestation of Governor Fayose violates immunity clause as enshrined in the constitution for the sitting Governor.

He added that Executive should ensure that anyone found culpable of molesting Governor Fayose should be punished under the law of the land.

The Caucus also implored the Independent National Electoral Commission and Security agencies to desist from being partisan in the next Saturday governorship election.

According to the Caucus, we calling on INEC and Security agencies not to be partial because this is a litmus test for 2019 elections.

The group informed the newsmen that a five man Committee has been set up to get firsthand information about what transpired in Ekiti State between Fayose and Security agencies.
