okowaIn line with the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa manifesto to empower Deltans through

the acquisition of skills, he has embarked on complete renovation of the three technical schools in the State. They are Sapele Technical School, Ofagbe Technical School and Agbor Technical School.

As expected, there has been rumors that a close friend of the governor, Lawrence Asiegbu was given the multi million naira contract, as a way of paying back his support given during the election. This rumor findings have revealed is sponsored by the camp of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the State, currently in the tribunal challenging the victory of the state governor.

We can authoritatively reveal that a statement to discredit the governor of giving his kinsmen and friends contract had already being sent to online media houses, a copy of it which was obtained by us.

Information however available to us reveals that the contract was not awarded to Ashiegbu as being speculated, even though we are yet to find the name of the contractor as at the time of going to press.

Another allegation leveled in the statement sent out to these prominent online publishers is that Rotec Construction Company based in Agbor is owned by Okowa and was awarded the Orogodo dredging contract.

Series of enquiries from top government officials and finally from the Corporate Affairs Commission is that Rotec is owned by one Itsekiri indigene, Mr Ronald Dore, a USA based Deltan, and incidentally a kinsman of the immediate past governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan.

As at the time of awarding the contract, our ever reliable competent source revealed that the governor never knew him until he got the contract.
