Ogbeide-Ihama gets court order, stops Obaseki from Edo PDP Primary [Doc]

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has granted the application of Mr. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama to stop the Edo State governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki from participating in the State’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship election primary slated for Thursday, June 25.

Mr. Ogbeide-Ihama, a PDP governorship aspirants, filed the suit on Monday before Justice E.A Obile.

Justice Obile granted the order.

The PDP governorship aspirant also secured a court order to serve the respondents through substituted means in two national dailies.

Ogbeide-Ihama had vowed not to step down for Mr. Obaseki in the build-up of Edo 2020 governorship election.

The court adjourned till June 24 for the hearing of the case.
