Twenty-four Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly have agreed to commence the impeachment of the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano, according to information available to ElombahNews.
According to our correspondent, Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie, the State Assembly made up of majority of the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] lawmakers are acting based on the fall out of the APGA primaries.
Report shows that the lawmakers all lost out as a result of imposition.
It was gathered that the House Members felt humiliated and are ready to fight back.
“The impeachment is expected to commence after INEC must have published the names of party candidates,” Mr. Chigozie stated.
Information has it, meanwhile, that as soon as the impeachment plot was leaked to Governor Obiano, he panicked and instructed the party Chairman, Mr. Victor Oye to return all the House Members.
Apart from those who indicated interest for House of Representatives and those who wish to respect the zoning agreement in their constituencies, most of the Assembly members will be returned, ElombahNews was informed.
As soon as the news reached the camp of the affected House of Assembly members, wild jubilating and frenzy was reported, says our correspondent.
