Recall that the APC NEC had dissolved the NWC of the party during a meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
During the meeting, the party’s NEC had resolved the following:
1. The withdrawal of all cases in Court
2. The dissolution of NWC
3. The establishment of Caretaker/Convention Committee [headed by present Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni]
4. The ratification of the Gubernatorial Primaries in Edo State
Reacting to the dissolution, the outgoing APC acting National Chairman, Hon Victor Giadom accepted the decision holistically.
In a statement credited to him, Hon Victor Giadom said that he accepted decision in the interest of the party.
He, therefore, called on all of his colleagues to accept the decision of the National Executive Committee.
He urged one and all to support the Caretaker Committee so as to reposition the party to greatness.
He thanked President Buhari and the entire National Executive Committee of the Party for rescuing it from crisis.
