Nnewi North Constituency: I’ll make Nnewi proud, Augustine Ike vows

The Member-elect for Nnewi North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Augustine Onyekachukwu Ike, has assured the people of Nnewi that he will make them proud when he assumes duty at in Awka, the state capital.

Ikedoji, as he is popularly known, made the remarks in a press release he issued through his Personal Assistant, Mr. Kenneth Aghaji, on Friday.

He assured them that he will not take their support and vote for granted but that his representation will make them proud.

Speaking later to News Band in a telephone interview, Ikedoji said that his victory is dedicated to the entire Royal family of HRH Igwe Dr. K.O.N Orizu III JP CON.

He also doffed the cap for Obi Nnewichi, Obi George Onyekaba and Obi Umudim who, he said, worked relentlessly to ensure that Nnewi North Constituency gets better representation.

Sir Ike, Mmiri Maru Ugo, further stated that no lexicon can express enough appreciation in human language to Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

According to him, Senator Ubah went extra mile to ensured that he lacked nothing during the contest.

The Member-elect, while appreciating his over 20 thousand voters, maintained that the mandate is for ndi Nnewi North Constituency and can only be used to serve Nnewi North Constituency better.

“Unfortunately, most of our supporters do not wish that we mention their names, but we are forever resolved to make them proud,” he noted.

He equally thanked his heroes of democracy and maintained that the election is over and his doors are forever open to accept those who are interested in the business of making Nnewi better irrespective of the role each played in the election.
