Angry voters burnt a pro-APC bandit that disrupted elections at Baba ewe unit Ago Palace Wal, Okota-Isolo, Lagos.

National Youth Service Corps members working as ad hoc staff in Ward 2 Unit 8 in Ubima, Rivers State escaped death as over 20 gunmen invaded the polling unit.

The gunmen invaded the unit with dangerous weapons, shooting sporadically, carting away ballot boxes, looting and robbing electoral officers.

Ubima is the village of Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi’s, it is in Ikwere Local Government area of Rivers State.

Yobe State governor Ibrahim Gaidam could not travel to Bukarti, his country home, in Yunusari Local Government Area of the state to vote due to an early morning attack on Geidam by Boko Haram insurgents.

Abdullahi Bego, Director General, Media affairs to the governor, confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday in Damaturu.

Bego stated that the governor could not partake in the exercise.

“The security agencies would naturally seek to reinforce and increase security around the governor for him to travel to cast his vote.

“The increased security around the governor will mean that vital security resources that are needed elsewhere in the state would have to be diverted and allocated to the governor,” the governor’s spokeperson said.

No fewer than 20 men and women were arrested by soldiers on LASU-Iyana Iba road, Lagos, for wandering.

According to the soldiers, they were wandering from one place to another without PVCs.

Two of them were caught with cutlasses.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo finally voted at his Ward 11, unit 22, Abeokuta, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Obasanjo was able to vote about three hours after voting had commenced in most polling units in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Dogara who is fighting for re-election on the PDP platform reported himself in Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa constituency:

“I have voted at my Polling Unit Gwarangah, Bogoro C,” he wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Dogara, was rejected by the Smart Card Reader at his Gwaranga primary school polling unit of Gwaranga town in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

12:25: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife Dolapo Osinbajo have voted in the presidential election on Saturday at the Code 33, Unit 2, Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos.

Osinbajo who arrived the unit at 10:28 a.m., voted at 10:53 a.m. while Dolapo voted at 10:55 a.m.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State was unable to get accredited at his Agassa Uvete Unit 11 polling Unit, Okene LG, due to faulty Card Reader Machine.

Bello who along with his wives, Hajia Rasheeda and Hajia Amina, stood on line for over an hour, while INEC officials went in frantic search for replacement, expressed his disappointment at the development.

Atiku voted at Ajiya Polling Unit, Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa at 10:08 a.m.

He was accompanied by his wife, Titi.

Report from Ikpoba Okha LGA of Edo State in Ward 10 shows that all party agents are currently shut out from distribution center except APC agents.
