The latest attack makes it the third one on the hapless town by the terrorists brandishing heavy weapons.

Earlier in the year, on Monday, February 24, 2020, ElombahNews reported that General Monguno was stopped from coming to the presidential villa.

The development followed squabbles with the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Abba Kyari.

Monguno, it was gathered, was also bared from attending security briefings and the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meetings.

According to an online Newspaper report, the directive stopping the NSA was given by the late Chief of Staff to the President.

It was reported that Monguno did not attend a special security meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the service chiefs.

The meeting had held behind closed-doors at the presidential villa on February 24.

Monguno did not also attend the penultimate week’s FEC meeting presided by President Buhari because of the directive, ElombahNews was informed.

Meanwhile, recently ElombahNews published the sorry condition of Borno State on the morning of June 10 after Boko Haram stormed a Borno Community killing some 81 persons and several animals.

Many were also injured and were taken to hospital for adequate attention.

Reacting, an analyst with ElombahNews said this is “exactly what happens when government keep releasing terrorist back to the society”.

Attached photos in the report showed dead bodies of humans and animals lying haphazardly across the community square.
