Melaye Literally Escaped Death From Police — Ben Bruce
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, also known as “common sense senator, has stated categorically that his colleague, the senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye “literally escaped death” from police operatives.
Senator Murray-Bruce said this after his visit to the National Hospital where Senator Melaye is being held in admission/detention.
The Senator representing the Bayelsa East constituency explaining, what transpired, said that the policemen used teargas on the embattled Senator while in transit.
Melaye, being asthmatic, could barely breathe.
According to him, he had to force his way out of the vehicle when they gassed him a second time.
Then ensued an imbroglio that led to him being brutalized and later taken to Zankli, a private hospital, from where he was later taken to National Hospital.
On their part, the police escorts reported that the Senator jumped out of the window and tried to escape and they had to physically had to stop him.
Commenting on the ‘attempt to escape’ theory, a commentator told ElombahNews:
“How could Senator Dino Melaye, with his huge size, sandwiched between two police officers, try to jump out of the window of a moving vehicle?”
In his words, “the real story is yet to be told.”
