Medical trip: Omokri, Sowore, others plan #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon protest
Nigerians in the United Kingdom are planning a protest against the medical trip embarked upon by Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on March 31, 2021, with the hashtag #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon.
Among the protesters are Mr. Reno Omokri, an aide to former Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan.
Announcing his intention to join the protest, Mr. Reno Omokri posted in a series of tweets:
“If you can name one hospital initiated, started, and completed by General @MBuhari since 2015, I will cancel #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon. Over to you, Buharists. I am waiting. Otherwise, Join me tomorrow at Abuja House, 12 PM to chase the Butcher of #LekkiMassacre out of London.”
“Would @BorisJohnson still be British Prime Minister if he failed to build hospitals in Britain, yet went to Nigeria to treat himself? Why are we Nigerians willing to accept from Buhari what the others won’t take from their leaders Join me tomorrow for #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon.”
“Muhammadu @MBuhari, I am coming to send you back to Abuja! #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon.”
“The eagle has landed to harass the ego out of London. It is happening people. #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon is on. God willing, I will see you at Abuja House, 2 Campden Hill, Kensington, London W8 7AD by 12 noon. We will observe #COVID19 protocols even as we chase @MBuhari back home.”
Another would-be protester is the Publisher of Sahara Reporters Newspaper, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, and a host of other Nigerians.
Mr. Sowore tweeted:
“Nigerians in the UK are cordially invited to massively protest against @mbuhari’s presence in London until he is returned to Nigeria. Protests will take place in London from April 2-4 2021! #Buharimustgo.”
Sowore tweets further:
“Nigerians in London have gained entrance into the hospital ward where @MBuhari is reportedly taking treatment! Tomorrow April 2 Nigerians will converge at Abuja House where Buhari will be chased back home for his annual check up in the world class hospital he built #BuhariMustGo.”

A Nigerian resident in London, Crown Bee tweeted:
“Join me 12 noon tomorrow at Abuja House, 2 Campden Hill, Kensington, London W8 7AD, to #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon.”
Several other Nigerians have also expressed willingness #HarassBuhariOutOfLondon protest.
