The war against media clampdown has been launched by the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC], Ibrahim Magu.

Magu ordered his men to arrest a Journalist, Abubakar Sidiqu Usman.

Usman is the publisher of an online-based platform, Abusidiqu.

According to family sources who reached out to Secret Reporters, men of the anti-graft agency stormed the private residence of the Journalist in the early hours of today, and escorted him out.

They later identified themselves to be from the EFCC.

Secret Reporters gathered that, the arrest of Abusidiqu was led by Sambo M. Mangana.

They reportedly came with a search warrant to search his house over the report he did, and confiscated both his laptop and phones.

It was gathered that, on August 2, 2016, Abusidiqu had published a report against him on his online platform.

There it was stated that the EFCC acting Chairman was venting his frustrations against the staff of the commission for his non confirmation as a substantive chairman of the commission which was deferred to a later date.

Sources at the Commission said the acting chairman has turned himself to an attack dog.

Whereby, he desperately wants to be confirmed, so he can assume his demi-goddess status in the society.
