Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing infrastructure.

He announced the commissioning of 29 roads across the state within just seven weeks.

Officials announced a major development during the inauguration of Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru/Akiogun Road in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

This new infrastructure provides an alternative route to Admiralty Circle Plaza, thereby improving regional connectivity.

The project, unveiled publicly, addresses traffic challenges by offering streamlined access to key areas.

Residents and commuters now benefit from reduced travel times, enhancing economic and social activities locally.

During his speech at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the strategic importance of the newly commissioned road.

He highlighted its potential to alleviate traffic congestion while enhancing residents’ quality of life.

Furthermore, he noted that the road would reduce travel time and create new socioeconomic opportunities for Lagosians.

In addition, the governor underscored the significance of other critical infrastructure projects.

For instance, he mentioned the Abudu Smith Road, which connects vital routes such as Femi Piers and Adeola Odeku.

These projects, he explained, form part of a broader commitment to improving mobility and fostering economic growth across the state.

Since December 2024, the administration has successfully completed road projects in several areas, including Kosofe, Ifako-Ijaiye, Eti-Osa, Alimosho, Ikeja, and Amuwo.

Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his determination to extend these efforts to other regions, including Badagry, Agege, and additional parts of Alimosho.

“We remain committed to improving the lives of all Lagosians, irrespective of their location or economic standing,” Governor Sanwo-Olu stated.

“Our goal is to ensure no one is left behind in our development agenda.”

The governor’s infrastructure drive is part of a broader strategy to address Lagos’ growing urban challenges and position the state as a hub of economic activity and innovation.

By prioritizing road construction and rehabilitation, the administration aims to create a more efficient transportation network while fostering inclusive development.

Residents and stakeholders have praised the government’s efforts; consequently, improved road infrastructure has significantly eased daily commutes while bolstering local businesses.

Furthermore, the administration’s emphasis on impactful projects highlights its dedication to addressing critical needs and enhancing living conditions in Lagos State.

As the state advances its ambitious development agenda, Governor Sanwo-Olu reassured citizens that his government will continue prioritizing initiatives promoting progress and inclusivity.
