A former Minister of Power, Mr Olu Agunloye, has been remanded in Kuje Correctional Service by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Agunloye over allegations of fraud in the Mambilla Power Project.

The ex-minister was arraigned before the federal high court in Abuja where he pleaded not guilty to the charges read against him.

Justice Donatus Okorowu, the presiding judge ordered that the minister be remanded in Kuje correctional facility pending when bail would be granted.

Recall that the anti-graft agency had declared Agunloye wanted on December 13 over alleged corruption.

EFCC had appealed to the members of the public with useful information about Agunloye’s whereabouts to contact the agency.

But the minister thereafter surrendered himself to the commission days after.
