Ibori

Elombah.com has obtained unequivocal disclosures from the Ibori case revealing his true source of funds.

The documents now published for the first time on this page relate to the actual and originating source of funds in relation to Bhadresh Gohil’s 2010 Trial.

Judge Anthony Pitts of the Southwark Crown Court, UK, last year adjourned the confiscation hearing of Chief James Ibori, former Delta State Governor, till June 6 2016.

Judge Pitts granted the adjournment to allow him time attend to a case of attempt to pervert the course of justice then brought against Ibori’s co-defendant, Mr. Bradresh Gohil.

Gohil’s counsel alleged in court, at the hearing in April 2015, that a British Police Officer, Mcdonald, who is a lead investigating officer in the case involving Gohil and Ibori, had been involved in collecting money for information involving Gohil and Risk Management company.

Elombah.com has reported that the case to pervert justice against Gohil has been withdrawn by the CPS.

It was alleged throughout the main trial for money laundering, by Wass QC and DC McDonald that these funds emanated from the Delta State.

The analysis (from the Crowns undisclosed material) appears to demonstrate that none of the funds (in Gohil’s case) emanated from the Delta State Treasury.

“There is simply no correlation to the Delta State. Moreover, McDonald failed to investigate the Delta State position, no questions were ever asked. At the same time, the UK police unit, headed by DC McDonald deliberately failed to obtain any information from the identified sources”, investigators tell Elombah.com.

This latest position demonstrate funds from various established companies including – Shell/Chevron/NNPC and other Corporate/private sources. There is no cash involved.

The documents reveal that Ibori’s Swiss Account – Stanhope Investments Ltd appears further to have been funded by payments from DFID/CDC Plc investee Company – Oando Plc through the ‘servette’ Acccount.

Similarly, DFID/CDC Plc investee company – Notore Chemicals and Fertilisers funded the Miyomoto Corporation payments  – this now establishes what the BBC’s Newsnight team uncovered in 2012

“None of these funds appear to have emanated from the Delta State Treasury”, stated a source familiar with the matter.

“These documents corroborates the decision of HHJ Pitts at Southwark Crown Court after hearing three weeks of evidence,  including  that of Nuhu Ribadu in September 2012 – he could not reach a conclusion about any funds having been stolen from the Delta State”.

The prosecution led by the disgraced Wass QC at the time sought an adjournment of this hearing to procure further witnesses evidence.

The new prosecution will not be calling any further evidence.
