Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State has said his administration is making arrangements for civil servants from level 1 to 14 to only work from their various offices three days in a week.
According to the governor, these are part of measures taken to ease the current economic hardship.
He spoke during a live media chat, ‘Sanwo Speaks’, to inform residents on steps being taken to tackle the economic hardship on Lagosians.
Prominent among these measures is the introduction of a hybrid work model for civil servants in the state, wherein employees will work from the office three times a week and remotely for the remaining two days.
The governor said those on level 15 to 17 will come to their offices four times in a week.
“From next week, we are working out a plan where civil servants from level 1 to 14 will come to the office maximum three times in a week,” the governor said.
“Not that all forms of government will be shut down. It will be calendarised and scheduled. Those on level 15 to 17 will miss work for one day.”
Also, the governor said workers in the teaching sector will maintain the five days a week work schedule, but government will ensure additional transport support for them.
