Seven villagers have been reportedly killed by gunmen suspected be bandits in two communities in Plateau State.
The victims were killed in the wee hours of Thursday after being attacked by gunmen in Pukah and Pinper communities in Mangu local government area of the state.
While six men and a woman were killed in the Pukah village during the vicious attack, the gunmen took sheep and other domestic animals in the Pinper settlement.
The unfortunate attack was confirmed by one Mr John Mark, a resident of the Pukah settlement.
He said, “The Pukah community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State came under heavy attack by gunmen early this morning (Thursday). They also attacked another community in the council area known as Pinper.
“In Pukah community, they killed one lady and six men. But in Pinper, they carted away several numbers of sheep before they fled the communities ”
Mark who also condemned the attack said the incident had been reported to security operatives.
Meanwhile, police authorities in Plateau State are yet to issue a statement in respect to the unfortunate incident.
