Alhaji Musa Ille, the secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara State has been killed by gunmen suspected to be bandits.
The victim according to security expert, Zagazola Makama was murdered at his residence on Monday night.
Zamfara is one of states in the Northern region plagued by criminals who raid and loot villages, kill residents and burn houses to the ground.
